I am told that the USAF Museum at Dayton Ohio, is seeking to raise more capital to build a hangar just of the XB-70 which would be great news. Can anyone provide confirmation or more details?

A few years ago they changed name to: National Museum of the United States Air Force (NMUSAF). Seems to be typical stirring of the alphabet soup.
The #4 hangar is well underway, basic structure is complete.

Approaching, construction is well underway on the 4th hangar at the museum. This has been planned for years. It will house the XB-70 and many more aircraft. There have been some back and forth as to waht airframes will be in there, but current plans are for the 4th buliding to focus on the presedential fleet (air force ones), R&D/x-planes and tranport aircraft. Many of these aircraft were away from the main museum at an annex hangar.

And here is a floor plan showing what will be on display.
