Pilot pioneer in his district - Wanganui Chronicle - Wanganui Chronicle News (http://www.nzherald.co.nz/wanganui-chronicle/news/article.cfm?c_id=1503426&objectid=11380563)

This bloke has done well. 34,000 hours on the job and there wouldnt be too many of those spent "flying" with the autopilot on.
Pity the Newspaper cant tell a 185 from a Cresco.

He was probably standing in front of his 185 when the picture was taken but the Cresco was behind him! He has one of the nicest 185's in the country as well.

Good on him. Good to see that sort of recognition.

We have another Australian icon, recognised in the Australian Aviation Hall of Fame - Ingo Renner, who operates from Tocumwal for much of our summer. Ingo is a four times world gliding champion, multiple winner of Australian titles, 36000 hrs and going strong, 31000hrs instructing and coaching. He is "the Chuck Norris of Australian gliding" - amazing skills and achievements. http://http://www.aahof.com.au/#!ingo-renner/cicx
