I'm going to be flying Seattle to Jakarta next year (business class) - and Korean is a likely option.
I can fly Jakarta - Incheon - Seattle (A330 to 777). However, for the same price I can fly Jakarta - Incheon - LAX - Seattle. Incheon - LAX is an A380. I'd really like to try an A380, but with the extra distance and transfer, it'll be 8 hours longer (26 hours vs. 18 hours) (great circle route from LAX to Incheon goes right by Seattle so it's an extra ~2000 miles to go through LAX).

So, how wonderful is that full upper deck business class on the KAL A380? Is it worth the penalty (did a quick check, looks like the actual business class seats are the same on the KAL A380 and 777 so seats should not be a factor).

No matter how good their Business Class might be (I don't know btw), this airline is on my personal NO FLY list.

I flew on the 777 business class from Heathrow to Incheon a couple of weeks ago and it was OK, nothing special. I would suggest that, if the same seats are used on the A380, then it isn't worth the extra drag. It is different with airlines such as Emirates, where the difference in biz seats from 777 to A380 improves dramatically and you have access to a bar as well (possibly the case with KAL A380).

Same service, same seats, same food, same movies... 8 hours longer - no brainer - go for the 777. I've flown Emirates A380 many times over the last flew years both Business and Economy and they're definately quieter, but that's about it... I certainly wouldn't add 8 hours onto the trip just to fly the larger plane.
