Evening,

I hope this is the correct forum for this - mods please move if not.

I'm toying with the idea of becoming an aircraft painter, I was hoping someone on here might be able to advise me on the qualifications needed, a Google search is drawing a blank.

The only thing I've been able to establish is that it is classed as engineering - do I have to learn to be a fully qualified aircraft engineer for something as specific as painting? Or is there a more direct route?

Many thanks for any help.

If you look at CAA CAP 747, Generic requirement No 10, it will give you some insight into the regulation involved in aircraft resprays.
