Does this mean more low-paying pilot jobs at Azul or will these NEOs simply replace some older E190s? Is this incremental growth or replacement?

Azul commits to 63 A320neos - 11/28/2014 - Flight Global (http://www.flightglobal.com/news/articles/azul-commits-to-63-a320neos-406571/)

I have read on these boards that Azul salaries are quite low - any examples? What would an E190 Capt make? How about an A330 FO or an ATR FO? Do pilots have to pay for their type ratings? Europe is getting worse, but I imagine salaries are far lower in your area.

Captain E190 - 14000 Reais

First Officer E190 - 7000 Reais

Try to convert it to USD and you will see how low it is

Yeah, that is pathetic.... I hope the addition of larger aircraft might increase the amounts a bit. Still, pretty bad.

I donīt hope so

According to Azul pilots they will just receive a small increase in the hour payment

The company needs to lose pilots to increase salary, because is much better increase salary thus pay a new type rate for a new pilot

Cheers
