And someone took the time to make a video and post it to the internet to prove it.
Amazing cockpit video from a plane landing in thick fog at Dublin Airport (http://thedailyedge.thejournal.ie/plane-landing-dublin-airport-fog-1794864-Nov2014/)

That was interesting and it brings home the advances in technology that allow aircraft to fly in marginal conditions with a good deal of safety. Do they have ground radar at DUB ?

Yes, like many airports, Dublin has A-SMGCS (surface movement radar + multilateration).

Hmmm..... novel.

Amazing how the fog varies, as I think one of the crew says it's suddenly almost CAVOK at touchdown then back into the murk again.

None of it. Total number of electrons never equalled total number of protons as far as i can tell.

I like this approach to Queenstown.
Lots of faith in navigation systems from about 02:45 onwards - though don't skip to that; enjoy the beauty of flying over the mountains first.

The Late - thanks for posting another great vid. Why does the aircraft twitch so much at 2:16ish? Would it be turbulence caused by the mountains?
