Hi guys,

We are heading to Singapore for all of one day for meetings. Which airport would you recommend? I seem to remember hearing that Changi was really expensive and busy???

Thanks!

Seletar takes most of the biz jet and G/A aircraft. Slot times would be a big problem at Changi. The other airfields are military.

Johor Bharu airport, just north of Singapore. Lower landing and handling fees, and much much lower fuel costs.

That helps a lot. Will look into where pax are headed and make a little table for them.

...then they can decide!

Thanks for the inputs!

Another alternative would be Batam (WIDD) in Indonesia about 20 miles south from Singapore. It's a 45 minute ferry ride in to the Singapore CBD (or close enough) from Batam's main ferry terminal. Probably quicker to get to down town Singapore than the Johor Bahru option suggested above, and possibly also cheaper as well.

Landing at Batam then ferry over is also a choice

If guys can afford to fly in their own corporate jet will a couple of grand here or there make a difference to landing where you actually want to be?

Yep JB easy enough but still an hour plus from CBD Singapore, more if busy time on the road.

Batam, yep 45 min ferry plus 30 min minimum to ferry terminal more like an hour, then from ferry terminal to hotel.

Just sayen.......

Then there's the maintenance facilities if required...

It's like driving a Ferrari to MBS casino but parking in the open air carpark 3km away. Rather walk a bit and spend the parking fees in the casino. :)
