Hello girls and guys

On the pax 744 do you still get to do multiple day trips? If so could somebody supply a sample day trip or 3-4 day trip. thanks in advance.

Quite simple really.

The flight time limitations are used as performance targets to produce multiple day trips consisting of reporting for duty early in the morning, arriving at a hotel (after a long bus ride) late at night, minimum rest, long bus ride back to the airport, and repeat; endure multiple roster disruptions and eventually returning home late at night on the last day.

raven11 thanks for ur reply, what is the minimum rest period? . Average Fool ok do they get you to do multiple day trips. i ask cause there are not many 744 routes left on the pax network and they seem to depart late afternoon then return next morning so would they put you on another sector that day?

I wouldn't call that a "multiple day" trip. That "day return" is done in one day!

Not sure if you are taking the piss with that question but just in case you are not; the Sapporo day return is one of the longest day returns. Add 70 minutes of duty before departing Hong Kong, and 30 minutes after returning, you'll see its a long day at work for 2 pilots.

Take a look at a map or chart. If you look to see where Hong Kong is situated relative to the city pairs you will see that flights to Manila and Taipei will be the shortest working days.

Cheers

Hugo Peroni the IV - I was was not taking piss sorry you may think that. I was talking about days working in a row not length of a sectors it self. I should of said TPE not CTS which would be the shortest (i think).
