1330 Flybe Southampton to Dublin flight has had an EFATO. Safely back on ground. Anyone got any more details?

It took off, they had engine issues, they carried out the appropriate checklists which resulted in an engine being shut down and secured.

They then use the excellent training which Flybe give every pilot that fly's for them to fly a single engine approach and landing which was successful.

The skipper after talking to ops and engineering had a cup of tea and started doing the paper work. He also had 2 bourbon biscuits with his cup of tea but he didn't dunk them.

Well the skipper is an idiot then.

Day one of Ground School, first progress test....

Q1) Bourbons must be dunked...

a) Always, because you know it makes sense.

b) Never

c) Only during LVP's.

I think some re training might be needed...

Otherwise....well done!

Bourbons? Really? In these austere times crews are issued with a single, plain digestive biscuit to be shared amongst the crew as the commander sees fit, and if you want to dunk it in anything, then you had better have brought your own flask of tea.
