Hey dudes and dude-ettes,

So I am not sure but >.<
Are you not allowed to get a job as an FA if you have epilepsy?
I haven't had a seizure in years and I take medicine daily
Would I still not be allowed?
Is there some sort of rule?
Oh Jesus, I hope not.

Thanks strangers
Bai ._.

Even though there are no Medicals for FA, for the sake of risk minimization, I doubt that the requirement "extraordinary health fit" can be applied to someone with treatments against epilepsy. Mental and physical fitness are mandatory for taking sich a job.

The work environment of a FA is all but healthy and time shortages, mental and physical hazzles impose additional stress, which is in cabin far stronger then on the ground. If there is even the smallest slightest chance a FA can experience an epileptic attack in the air oder under stress conditions, such as an emergency landing, she or he is unfit for flight service without any doubt. Think of i.e. a hijacking situation, where you will be unable under certain circumstances to take your medicine -> you feel what, you are absolutely busted.

So, harsh and hard - if you have an epileptic problem, take any wish to fly other as a Pax to your hearts grave.
