Hi all,

So I am an NZ pilot (recently completed Instructor rating) and am now attempting to self study the CASA ATPL theory exams. I bought the AFT Distance learning course as well as all the charts and law documents. I am having difficulty understanding how the Australian Law Documents work and was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. I bought the CAR's, CAO's, AIP and ERSA. Im basically wanting to figure out where I can find the more relevant things i.e. VFR Minima's, Flight Crew licensing, general flight rules etc. This stuff is easy to find in NZ documents but can't seem to find it at all within the Aus stuff.

Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Matt

Your not the only one.....CASA doesn't even know themselves

I would leave air law until later with the new part 61 141/142 133 coming in

Haha thank god for that, thought I was losing it. From my dealings with CASA they seem even worse than the NZ CAA. After having my application for licence conversion for 5 weeks I finally received my CASA CPL the other day and they managed to get my nationality wrong. Needless to say I am now worried as to what else they are getting wrong.
