A FedEx aircraft has ditched after takeoff from Princess Juliana International Airport. Reports of 1 pilot dead and 1 missing.

Be interesting to see the maintenance report from the incident two days prior.

Tragic event. It's my understanding flights on smaller aircraft like the Short, Caravans, etc. are often contracted by Fedex to local operators. Does anyone know if that's the case here?

It would be a contractor. FedEx the airline doesn't operate anything smaller than a 757 these days.

AvHerald showing SkyWay Enterprises was the operator as SKZ7101
They have the aircraft as N380MQ (c/n SH3702)
