Noted on the back of a truck, boarding the Isle of Wight, Yarmouth to Lymington car ferry on Mon Oct 27th, was the long suffering fuselage of BN2T Islander G-RAPA.

Much used old BN2, bare fus ended up in external storage / rescue training duties, at Bembridge for the last few years.

Anyone know where it was heading?

About 1000 hrs in that one. And a a few hundred jumps. I guess it won't be going for another C of A!

Nope not much chance of a fresh C of A, after all the years stuck outside.

Have subsequently heard a rumour that ( along with a couple of other old BN2 airframes from oop north), it might have been heading for the Longcross film studio site in Surrey..for use in the next James Bond movie.

You heard it here first folks!

It certainly suffered in the hacked-about way never mind anything else!
