Air Atlanta flies on an ACMI basis for other carriers when they need extra capacity. they also fly charters for UK operators. They do a lot of the Hadj flights out in the Middle East.

As you'll see from their website, they fly only 747 and 767's.

Rumour has it they were supposed to be hiring in London (Gatwick), but I have not heard from them in this regard. They are supposed to be quite fun to work for, albeit somewhat unstable at times (the nature of most ad-hoc charter carriers I guess).

Hajj flights, are basically charter flight's carrrying Muslims from around the world, usuallly from South Asia to Saudi Arabia (Jeddah) for the annual Hajj pilgrimage.

They also do a fair bit of work for Nigerian Airways (Enough said...?)

And the latest news is that Air Atlanta are applying to the Israeli (or Egyptian?) government to start airborne casino's, similar to those which used to fly in the Vegas area.

The plot is that AA will fly converted B742's as casino's, in a bid by the country's hungry gamblers to partake in their passion, since gambling and casino's are not permitted on the ground!!!!

Forgive my ignorance, but it is either Israel or Egypt.
