Does anything happen at Teruel? I have seen the web page with 1 747 but other than that there is no evidence on the internet that anything actually happens there. The web page shows a big parking area is it actually there. They also talk about recycling has any been done?

A friend came up with the information for me. Seems not much goes on at this airfield they have a couple of stored 747s and other than that only a couple of aircraft last winter for out of season parking.

They've certainly got more than a couple parked there now. I didn't even know the place existed until I was driving past today and saw all of the planes parked up. There are at least 20 UTAir planes there and a couple of Transaero ones amongst others. It also looks like they are dismantling a jumbo.

Hi all,

https://vimeo.com/124209401

There are more than 40 aircrats at the moment, and Transaero airline is curently sending part of its fleet for long term storage at Teruel airport.

You have plenty of information at Tarmac Aerosave website.

hi

I have been there with a single engine one month ago. A 777 landed just behind me, it was the one delivered to the new Spanish charter airline, Prestige.

There were many UN bombardier, Avianca 330, 747, Russian 737ng and 320 with sharklets.

People were friendly and taxes not so expensive. I recommend the place.
