I'm really intrigued, hope somone can shed some light on this. Who/why is this flying missed approaches and holding circuits this afternoon. Very nice looking aircraft with winglets, white but with stripes along the fuselage.

Intel appreciated.

Lasham seems to deal with a good number of VIP 727's, so perhaps it was/is one of those and was doing circuits/flight testing in quiet airspace, as around Lasham it would be more challenging. I have to say that the uprated and wingletted 727's do look the business :ok:

Saw this fly over my house earlier, tracked it on flight radar for a bit doing circuits over Southampton but then if flew off north and disappeared.

Yes, i'm pretty sure it was the the one I saw last Sunday. That took me by surprise making a hell of a noise from nowhere on the missed approach. It was around for an hour or so today.

HZ-AB3 flying LPV approaches (http://www.exeter-airport.co.uk/airport-news?item=977) for FAA approval, then return to Lasham.

Interesting to see my local is leading the way in the UK with LPV. It would be nice to see some more interesting visitors testing the system.
