Hi there,

I hope you don't mind my posting in here (please let me know if there is a more appropriate thread for this). I'm a producer for a company called Arrow Media and we're currently making a documentary about the severe weather across Great Britain for Channel 4 here in the UK...

I came across footage of a number of crosswind landings during the period of severe wind and storms which hit the UK last winter (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7P9OAng32F0&list=UU1PloUeSfZql4wbCRM8_2AQ). I'm hoping to get in touch with any pilots who were flying these planes (or indeed passengers on board).

I would love to speak to them about the challenges of landing in crosswinds, and whether the extreme weather does create a more challenging environment for pilots. I realise it is a long shot to find anyone, but it would be fantastic if you could put the word out as we'd love to feature these amazing landings and the astonishing skill of their pilots!

To tell you a little more about Arrow, we have made a number of documentaries about aircraft, pilots and airports in the past, including Jumbo: Plane that Changed the World, Ultimate Airport: Dubai and Terror in the Skies.

Please contact me at [email protected] if you think you might be able to help.

Many thanks!

Hannah
