I recently purchased a Persian 1940 5 RIALS note signed by several people. I have been able to identify one of the signatures as that of a RAF WW II hero, Norman Jackson. I also suspect that another signature is that of W. A. Wilkinson (who authored "One Pilot's War. The Battle of Britain and Beyond") but I have been unable to find his signature to compare it with. Jimmie Miller also has ties to the RAF, but I can't identify his signature either.
There are several other signatures in the note (Fred Madern (?), M. Brandon(?), Mike Hunt, W. Deemern (?)) which I cannot quite make out. I hope someone will assist me in identifying the signatures, and discover the circumstances the note was signed in.
