I seem to recall there was something issued that removed the compulsory 100hrs of PPL ground school and replaced it with an as defined by the Head of Training. However my data mining is obviously below par today and I can't find it. Would one of my fellow pedants be so kind as to furnish a link?

Let's face it, there was nothing wrong with the old CAA exams, just needed updating AND the answers provided needed to be correct!

Bose-x Would this make it possible for a student to do home study on the material, have one day of training at the school and let the school to do an assessment on the students theoretical knowledge (gained from home study) to fulfill the requirements before recommendation to do the exams?
