Guys, strong rumors by HR guys of approved new package, by the end of this week. Stay tuned. Pretty good Basic salary increase . Not to much on housing allowance. PS don't kill the messenger.
Cheers.

I guess if the rumors are strong enough to hit pprune you can expect it in 2016 and/or just after the nation wide rent hike. This is historically speaking the chain of events. Or maybe its just the 2010/2011 rumor materializing/maturing. (still first a another hike)

Makes one wonder. Why would any company who has an almost endless supply of people willing to join and work for it's current terms and conditions be prepared to offer a pay increase.

I am a bit confused. Is EK called Goat Air these days?

I think it is DOH - good joke whether intentional or not.. In these EK - centric pages I think goat air is QR.

Goat Air is derived from the logo on the tail....

The truth of the matter is they do not have a line of people banging on the door which is why people credit this rumour more than on previous occasions, they also have an issue with lots of guys leaving.

Still don't believe it till I see it on my wage slip.

Regards,

GBD

p.s. I believe I had heard 18% backdated to June or was it a free pony, can't remember now as I'm still drinking my Ramadan allowance!

and soon another few hundred applicants will become available from an UK airline considering downsizing. Pay rise is a wishful thought at best.

Our lot need them [the soon to be released UK pilots] as well, it would be nice to have a 'my conditions are better then their conditions' dynamic going on.

Interesting to see the reaction from that headline and who associated it correctly... :} ...so it seems like a perfect question for the Initial Testing to see how observant candidates are, of their prospective company's emblems (Arabian Oryx) !

Good luck with the pay rise I heard also, as I understand you are officially negatively crewed/short now and struggling to source current & type rated/experienced crew (too fussy possibly?). EK went through a phase like that some time back until they changed a few in recruitment... (I'll leave that for others to discuss).

A Pilot's market at the moment though, with good $$ on offer for the experienced, better contract terms arising plus the USA majors having started to fire back up recruitment... let's just hope the Ebola, MERS and the Swine/chicken/monkey or whatever-they-pull-out-of-the-hat-next Flu that comes out of Asia, don't rear their ugly heads again to ruin it.

Happy Landings :ok:

QR have just changed the entry requirements for DEC and F/O with an increase in the maximum age limit and a reduction of the minimum hours required.

I guess it's all due to not having enough experienced applicants.....and an impending crew shortage.

No change to fast track S/O or S/O recruitment requirements.
