Hi,

Will be in HGK for a couple of weeks this month. Can anyone based there please recommend a good and reasonable tailor to get a couple of pairs of trousers made. Would prefer someone who is known to cater to crews, of course....

Thx,

Q.

Maybe you should try our sister tailoring rumour network PTRuNE

On HK side try Jim's Tailor Workshop, Shop 8 1/F Tower One, Admiralty Centre, HK. Tel 2789 0751.

The guy there used to work for WW Chan Tailors on Kowloon side who for many years made uniforms for CX. He's well experienced into which side pilots dress :)

Then CX contacted to a mainland company who produces the current high flam polyester mix that pilots have to wear, unless they buy their own ISO certified non flam wool mix from a private tailor.

Not an advert, just an observation.

Also try Yuens Tailors, they're on the walk from the IFC to the escalator in the old central market building on the left as you go towards the never ending people mover. They used to be the military tailor at Tamar. You might pay a little more but you will not be sorry. Tell them you're from CX/KA for a discount. I recommend them.

You can try Winston Tailor.
1st floor in a dingey mall, behind the Sheraton Hotel in TST.
They do a lot of FedEx uniforms.
