Just curious as it is not written anywhere in our company docs; in the USA there is a telephone number for each airport's ATIS broadcast. Very useful on the van ride to the airport for some general SA. Is there a phone number for HND ATIS? Thanks a bunch.

Nah we all stopped doing that about a decade ago and just use aeroweather on our smartphones now :ok:

As cool as that app is, it does not give you things like runway and departure / arrival in use, runway condition, etc. Hence I still like to use the old school "call the ATIS" technique. Man, maybe I'm just getting old. So shall I interpret that to mean that there is no such phone number for RJTT and other airports in Japan, or just that "we" now are too cool to use them and I need to get with the times and ditch the rotary-dial telephone and cassette-tape Walkman?
