Anyone else experiencing the so-called "official" closure of airspace from 27th July to 2nd August?

Our plan is to depart ZSSS on 31st July but have been told to expect a slot on 2nd August. When asked for an official document or NOTAM, surprise, there isn't one.

We received notice about 6 weeks ago from Universal. This happens from time to time in China since the military "owns" the airspace. Commercial carriers take precedence and they have already had substantial flight cancellations due to the restrictions. Corporate isn't even on their "radar" right now. Wait until after 8/3.

One thing you will learn very quickly if you fly into China, is that they make the rules there, and they don't have to notam them.
Be careful, rumour has it that is could last as long as the 14th August, so plan with a contingency. it is also not only Shanghai, it is 12 airports in China that are affected.
We had to leave ZSSS by midnight on the 26th July, or face being grounded until after the PLA had finished doing what they are doing. (possibly 14/8)
It is also affecting airlines, with lots of flights in and out cancelled.

Thanks guys.
We've been told 2nd August we can get a slot so we'll aim for that. I'm not unfamiliar with China having routed there a few times in the past. Previously all went well (within the terms of the word).
We're not a corporate jet either.
