Hi all (Android 4.1)
Downloaded a large number of photos to my tablet in a RAR File. Unfortunately my tablet can't open the file. On my laptop I'm using WinRar no problems. Any recommendation for a app on my tablet.

You could try searching the Google App store for "unrar" where you will find RAR for Android. Not a recommendation as such as I've never used it, but it seems to rate well and is by RARLAB who make WinRAR.

Thanks le Pingouin and the latest posts from others. I've found it a bit of a 'learning curve' from W7 on my laptop to Android on my tablet.
I'm still learning, and I greatly appreciate the help I receive from all posters guiding me through this semi transition using Android on my tablet.

The file management program Total Commander (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ghisler.android.TotalCommander) is also able to open RAR and ZIP files.
