I'm trying to find out what is the maximum flight hours for airlines in the region? Do pilots fly more or less than their peers elsewhere?

900 hours in the Middle East i think and 100 hrs per month.
That's not the whole story though, if you depart at 0900 and get back by 1700 then flying at the max limit is fine (although some pilots would still moan) but if your flying early/late/night/ultra long haul/time zones from one to the other then that's another story :\

Wow. Week after week, month after month, thread after thread complaining about hours and fatigue. Now, someone wants to gather information on same and there are two replies, from over 1,200 views, in a couple of days. Keyboard warriors.........

Thanks to those that have already got in touch. If anyone wants to discuss this subject completely in private, then email me at [email protected]. I'm a journalist for the Wall Street Journal. We can chat completely off-the-record. I'm just trying to understand the picture.

It might do with the username of the original poster, if there is one thing pilots dislike more than their management, it is the press!

To all of you who are looking for your 5 minutes of fame:
1) There is NO SUCH THING AS OFF THE RECORD…
2) There is NO SUCH THING AS OFF THE RECORD…
3) Repeat as required…
4) I'm pretty sure your AOM has something in it, or your HR manual has a line or two about spilling secrets to the press…
5) Refer to lines 1 & 2
