Hello there

Not a flying professional, but just on Flightradar24 and appears that the BE flight from Edinburgh to Birmingham is being vectored to fly circuits over Fife. Assume burning fuel for a return to EDI. Aircraft an RJ85. Hope all OK and positive outcome.

Anyone have more info?

BE do not have any RJ85 aircraft and have not had any for a few years. It should be an E170 and according to their web site, the aircraft arrived early at 21.18

G-LENM departed EDI for BHX earlier this evening on behalf of Flybe. The crew received a gear indication warning on departure. Aircraft burned fuel in the hold north of EDI for a short time to get below the landing weight required. No PAN/Mayday was required or made. Aircraft returned safely to EDI.

lakerman, At present Flybe often sub flights with an Cello Aviation RJ-85.

Really, since when?

At least since June 7th. Until July 6th G-LENM has operated a total of 36 sectors for FlyBe. No less than 10 of those on July 4th apparently.

For your info G-LENM is on lease from Cello as a standby aircraft at BHX for all of July, presumably covering maintenance and aircraft purpleisation.
