An interesting article from the BBC mentions what is possibly the first hijacking of an aircraft, although there seems to be at least 4 before this one.

The article names the captain as Capt A E Hare, I wonder if it was Alex Hare ex Channel and Air Anglia.

It was indeed the same Alex Hare who was with AQ

Thanks Halcyon Days. I flew with Alex a number of times on both the DC3 and F27 in the mid 70s with Air Anglia. A great Captain to fly with!
