A 4-seat jet with only an american pilot on board has gone missing during its flight from Nigeria to Gabon via Cameroon. The flight left at 6pm on Monday and was scheduled to arrive in Gabon at 11 PM. Plane disappeared following hand-off to Cameroon ATC. SAR has been unsuccessful thus far. A 4-seat jetThe report that you linked to makes no mention of it being a jet.

This one:

Anxiety over missing plane | Nigeria Headlines (http://www.nigeriaheadlines.com/news/anxiety-over-missing-plane)

Describes it as as "single engine citation aircraft" (!), but quotes a registration that belongs to a Beech A24 Musketeer.

Tough place to go missing.

Another example of why portable satellite tracking devices should be essential equipment on any aircraft.

IndigoSat South Africa has a great range at IndigoSat South Africa (http://www.indigosat.co.za)

At $1/hour to operate, it's a complete no-brainer.
