Just been watching a documentary about HMS Hood and a Cdr Shane Moore RAN is being interviewed.
He appears to have an AFC.
Does anyone know the story or have I got the medal wrong?

Basil

Can you provide a link to a photo of him or a link to the said documentary ?

I can't think of any other medals that look like an AFC or DFC.

Thank you. I think Motza's got it. Must be my colour perception or my TV :)
It's on:
BBC iPlayer - Clydebuilt: The Ships That Made The Commonwealth - 4. HMS HOOD (http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p01n8dv0/clydebuilt-the-ships-that-made-the-commonwealth-4-hms-hood)

p.s. The BBC link has three days to run and I don't know if it will play in Oz.

From the download site -

"If you download a programme to your laptop or hard drive, or to your phone or tablet via the BBC iPlayer App, you can watch it anywhere in the world. But you can’t download any more programmes until you’re back in the UK.

The BBC uses Geo-IP technology to identify where you are, based on the location of your internet service provider (ISP). This is to ensure that only people in the UK can enjoy programmes on BBC iPlayer. Find out more about on-demand rights."
