IFAPA has just published a paper on problems with the MPL process and the outcomes from current programs.

It is certainly worth a look. As a Yank I have no experience with anyone trained in this manner. I think it is coming to the US due to a shortage of pilots who meet the current minimum experience requirements. MPL is certainly on the agenda of the Regional Airline Association (RAA).
I doesn't give my a warm a fuzzy feeling that at some time in the future my F/O might only have 12 landings in an actual aircraft.
