Based on the red 'X' and lack of data, is it Area 51?

Link shows no airfield diagram, just a drawing of some fences!

or so ..... what?

A case of a blind man looking for a black cat in a dark room and the cat isn't even there! ;)

A bit like the ghost in the old control tower at Speke Airport.

A bit like the ghost in the old control tower at Speke Airport.

Now, now, gotta keep up, don't you mean John Lennon International ?

Never met the ghost, but once landed at Speke in an Auster, and the cross-wind was such that I needed two of the fire crew, one on each wingtip, to "walk" me back to the aero club !!

I dropped into JLI a couple of years back and was sad to see that the old airport has been subsumed into an industrial estate/park. First heard about the 'ghost' in the early 90s where Captain Campbell Black's ghost was reputed to walk endlessly looking backwards scanning for the Hawker Hart that did him in!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Campbell_Black

More a case of one looking for the ineffable in an invisible place as I was then told that he haunted a hanger but have heard of hauntings in the old control tower as well...

then 6 more to stop the wheels being nicked by the Scallies

Maybe it was this (http://www.ghost-story.co.uk/index.php/haunted-houses/325-speke-hall-liverpool-england) trying to catch a flight home Caco? You might want to look at this blog (http://www.hauntingsinlincolnshire.co.uk/haunted-raf.html)

Are these clues to one of those recent treasure hunts where money has been buried/concealed and whoever finds it claims it as their own? :)
