Someone in another thread posted the question, "What did the recent Tiananmen Square rally have anything to do with aviation?" Unfortunately people will make connections and we have to deal with it. It's a direct attack on our industry and profession and we have to bear the brunt. Have a read. Fly safe everyone:

The Hong Kong area Airlines, all airlines flying into HKG, from China or Taiwan, need to seriously deal with this threat immediately.

This first words from every pilot's wife (or husband) is "go sick!" Knowing the system in HK, and how the airlines react to such issues, in similar 'tense nature,' there will be nothing significantly done, and everyone shall carry on without worry. Our CAD and police, what is their statement to this situation?

Perhaps and redundant security check procedure shall be put forth, but is that really going to stop the situation from actually occurring? We all know lithium batteries can be manipulated, as one example.

25 years ago, Hong Kong was "really" free, and Tiananmen Square should not be a historical event to attack what freedom Hong Kong has today.

If you are rostered for a flight to/from China or Taiwan today, or over the next days, are you showing up for work? Some flights to China were cancelled today...
