I wonder if politicians realise they come across like Kindergarten children most of the time?

Very good question, Framer.

Whilst I can't give you an exact answer I can say in a former life I was actually a primary school teacher and can distinctly recall many Kindie kids coming across as politicians, most of the time.

There may be a connection, but really not too sure.

All Pollies started out at Kinda, where do ya think they got their idea's from? Most think they are still there!:E Christ you have only got to watch/listen to Parliament sometimes to know where they got their skills from!!!

In a time of sever cuts to our most needed funded area's health education Etc am sure the gen public would just love the Govt to spend a few zillion bucks on new shinny jets for the Kinda kiddies to run around in!:ugh:

recently there was a big hissy fit about foreign minister Carr having a first class seat on a flight to London

In this age of fiscal restraint,(for some) I note Abbott and prior PMs etc take the whole bloody aeroplane !

CAsA pls note...looks like an ageing a/c issue here...12 years old.

Ancient. I suppose the only thing to be grateful for, is that had it been Rudd, there would a have been a monumental tantrum, a hissy fit of incredible proportions. At least Abbott stayed calm. There is that to be grateful for, I suppose. The flight attendant must have been relieved.

AROA,

Actually I think CASA would have nothing to do with it. The BBJs would not be on the Civilian Register.

Never mind the age, those airframes would have seriously less hours and cycles on them than similarly-aged airframes in civil use.

Is it a question of dodgy cheap offshore maintenance? Where are they being serviced? Would any of them even have accumulated the hours for a major yet?

What was the nature of the failure that caused this most recent delay?

And did anyone even notice?

Are they having more breakdowns than normal or is it just the media blowing things out of proportion ?

The BBJ's are maintained by Qantas Heavy Engineering up in Brisbane. They have had multiple heavy checks done up there as they need to be kept up to the highest standard.. :ugh: even when one ****s itself on the tarmac before a trip.

I could be wrong again, but I read somewhere these A/C are leased and maintained via QF and a mob in The Cayman Islands and operated by The RAAF. I think The minister for defense was rabbiting on about a demurrage arrangement by the previous mob in lieu of renewing leasing arrangements because they were broke. I'm guessing that one or two should have been replaced in the original lease arrangement.

But I have been wrong before.

Tony Abbott is an extreme right-wing crackpot who got elected with a combination of lies and three-word slogans.

Even John Howard thinks he's fallen off the edge.

His rationale for every problem, no matter how small or irrelevant, is to blame the ALP.

If bird droppings hit the Mad Monk on his morning run, it would be because of the ALP.

This thread was irreverent until peterc turned up with his partisan rantings. Before it gets closed for blatant and political thread drift may I just say;

The Labor Party are an extreme left-wing crackpot mob who got elected with a combination of lies and three-word slogans.

Even Bob Hawke thinks they've fallen off the edge.

Their rationale for every problem, no matter how small or irrelevant, is to blame the Tony Abbott.

If bird droppings hit the wicked witch or her moronic subsequent progeny on her morning drive, it would be because of the NLP.

I've had my say in answer peter, so respond quickly before, mercifully, the thread will be locked.
