Hamad International, formerly known as NDIA, was supposed to be fully open today - i.e. all civil flights should have been routed through the new terminals. (Not to say that the terminals themselves are fully completed).
Did it happen?
How is it for Flight Crew / CC / PAX?
Any other 1st impressions?

I didn't work today...most people commented it seemed to be ok thus far. The old Doha airport seems to be officially closed to commercial traffic.
For crews I believe there is a lot of walking involved as we are proceeding through the terminal with passengers until the flight operations area is complete.
All in all better than I expected?

Must admit, despite the predictions of woe, doom,despondency, etc, all seems to be going pretty well so far, whether you be crew or pax. Lot of effort seems to have gone into the transition. In addition, SID's, STAR's, frequencies, controllers. Space! A proper airport for QR at last. Looks promising.
(p.s complaints about long walks; which airport doesn't?!)
