There's an interesting one right now passing over Gillingham in Kent, out of Stansted climbing through around 11,000ft. HZ124 which according to Wiki is this:

The Special Flight Services (SFS) was set up as a special unit of Saudia, and operates special flights for the Royal family and government agencies.

I'm surprised it has a callsign on FR24.

Just curious really. Any thoughts?

Saw one of the B737s going into Farnborough on FR24 a few months back

I saw it at Brize Norton in 2006 when it was listed as Saudi Defence Ministry. The working of FR24 are beyond the understanding of earth creatures!

It's so exciting trying to figure out who it is and what it's up to. It landed at Le Bourget (Paris) about 5 minutes ago.

A340. Maybe something to do with maintenance or spare parts?

Hmmm. : )

Actually, Saudia Special Flight Services no longer exists and that A340 was never operated by them, nor do they operate B737's :)

Reportedly fitted out as a flying hospital, though the number of antennae it sports might suggest other missions.

It's what's left of XV208 when it last visited HAM for the German weather service ;)
