Evening can anyone remember the names on the above subject during the period from 1980 until 1994 this is when the following squadrons 63 151 19 and 92 were heavily active using the bae hawk T1 and T1A

Yes; I was there in that time frame.

Try the RAF website, they have lists of base and sqn cdrs going back to RFC days.

Does anyone remember the names of the squadron commanders for the following squadrons 63 151 and 19 during the period of years from 1980 to 1994 when these squadrons were flying the Bae hawk jets from Raf Chivenor in North Devon.

Grant McLeod OC 63 at Brawdy in 1980.
I didn't think 63 went to Chiv, but 234 did?

Paul Croasdale OC 151 at Chiv in 1983.

First boss of 63 at Chiv after re-opening was Neil Buckland; first boss of 151 when they formed the following year was Dick Bealer.

I didn't think 63 went to Chiv, but 234 did?

Other way round, 63 at Chiv, 234 at Brawdy.

Boss of 63 in 84 was Brook Blackford.

Best of 234 in Sixties were Walpole and Kennedy. Sorry, slight t-drift :)

I was Boss of 151 (F) in 1983, albeit briefly (had a bird strike which knackered me))

I was there before you were elevated to dizzy heights.

When Les said "duck" that was what you should have done...

Neil and Dick were the sqn bosses then and I flew many sorties with both of them - mostly mud moving (one of the few perks of being stn nav, SFSO, SIntO and all the other SLJs the pilots didn't want). I even managed not to upset the single-seat staish who was a great navigator fan:E (and his successor). Didn't much care for all that aerial ballet though, going round and round in high energy circles over the water (epecially after my first one such with Dick Fallis - it's his real name folks - when I acquired a severe attack of "G-measles" and wobbly legs).

But you, as I recall, you sir, were often sent to the "naughty room" on Friday nights.:ok:

23 and 515 Memorials nearby in Lt Snoring church. Did not know about the Holt memorial; I was on the same Valley course as the co-pilot. Must visit next time in Norfolk

OC 151 Sqn.
Dick Bealer was followed by Bob Burrough 1984-1986 who, in turn, was followed by Paul Croasdale who took over in 1986, not 1983
