Hi all,

I will go this summer to Iceland for a couple of weeks, and I would like to rent a c172 o pa28 to do some sightseeing or even some cross country.

I have a current JAA CPL + SEP + IR, Do any of you know how easy is to rent an aircraft there, and what about the fees? Do you recommend any school or club, or a website with this kind of info? Any special trip or "must see" place from the sky?

Thanks for your help.

You could start here ..::Iceland Airclub::.. (http://www.icelandairclub.com/) or here http://www.hang-out.co.uk/index.php/flying/iceland

Lots to see from the air ... the tectonic plate boundary on the Reykjanes Peninsular, and at the Althing, Jokulsarlon Glacial Lagoon, Hekla, Snaefellsnes and any glacier you'd care to shake a stick at for starters!
