Anyone know the rules? A source would also be appreciated.

Some Air Safety reports have had mentions of the differing augmentation rules, but not much discussion. Curious the differences between the way US carriers staff (under FAR 117) compared to the Gulf carriers (which are assumed to be ICAO).

Simple guidelines in the gulf , they follow the " golden rules" philosophy" :

He who has the gold ( black / yellow) , makes the rules !

Likely that this guy is fishing for ammo to use against the Gulf carriers , he posted the same question on a U.S. pilot board. ALPA and their members are out to restrict foreign competition. Whether you agree with that or not, it's always nice to know the reason for the question before you decide to answer.

UAE CARS are indistinguishable to my eyes from the old JARs and new a EASA regulations.
