I hope the one listener who complained is satisfied with the result.

Sounds to me as if the Beeb is culpable by having such a record available to be played. I'd go for constructive dismissal.

Until everyone or every race, gender, religion, sexuality is treated equally by the PC brigade, it's just meaningless. I'm sure that the above example is a case of innocent oversight by the DJ, though with the current climate you'd think that the legal dept of the BBC would've checked EVERYTHING for transmission before it was transmitted.

Thanks, TTN, did a search but couldn't find it, which surprised me somewhat.

When I worked for Aunty, many years ago, the DJs were not allowed to select their own records - they were given a playlist. presumably that's something that has been dropped (or maybe was only applied on national services).
