There may be some lurkers here who can answer two questions for me.
Trying to search the Skyhawk Assn website and not having much luck.
Does anyone know what the maximum altitude attained by an A4K over New Zealand was?
I'm also wondering what the farthest afield they deployed was while in service.
I know they got up to Singapore and Butterworth?
Did they ever go up to Red Flag at Nellis?

Don Simms [a moderator on the WoNZ forum] wrote an excellent book about the A-4K with KAHU update several years ago now. It has a lot of interesting factoids. I do not recall any visits to USA except to HAWAII [NAS Barbers Point with disembarked A4Gs 1978 guests of VC-1] for a RIMPAC or similar. Perhaps that book has a height mentioned when one aircraft circumnavigated New Zealand as I recall vaguely now. Being ex-A4G that book holds a lot of interest to learn what happened to the old RAN FAA Skyhawks.

My guess for the height would be around 40K, depending on what was being carried at the time.

Thanks for the references Spaz - I'll have a look through them.
