DGCA Type Rating

Hi guys,

If I want to get a type rating endorsed on my DGCA license, does my IR have to be current? Or can a lapsed IR be re-issued on the basis of the type rating training?

Tried the search function, but didn't find a damn thing.

No the DGCA does not require your IR to be valid in order to do a type rating
You will get a new one along with the type rating

That being said the TRTO you are going to can demand a valid Instrument Rating
