Anyone know of a decent small strip or helipad between Bridlington and Scarborough for a drop? Dont necessarily need gas, can get that from leeds/bradford but would appreciate any local knowledge.
Thanks:cool:

No. But I know a man who will!
StevieTerrier is Yorkshire based. If he doesn't respond, I'm sure he wouldn't mind you emailing him. Look at his profile for his email contact.

According to my copy of sitefinder, there's

N5417.9 W00027.2

and

Hackness Grange
tel 01723 882345

Yes indeed. Depends on where abouts you want to end up, and if you will have any transport there but...there is a landing pad at Willy Howe (disused airfield). It lies more or less equidistant from Scarboro and Brid, (about 8 miles each way), and about 5 miles inland. N54 08.12 W000 23.00 OS101/059720 marked "Willy Howe Fm. Contact Mr. P. Botterill 01262 470207 (Eves).

I also know of another site at Hunmanby but the actual details I don't have to hand. I could maybe find them at a pinch - let me know if you do want them.

Willy Howe is the nearest that I know of.

You will certainly want to plug the co-ordinates into the GPS (as a back up to your primary navigation of course!!), as it really isn't obvious from the air.

An alternative could be (FROM A 1995 BOOK, so be warned)

Raven Hall hotel 01723 870 353 at Robin Hoods Bay (15 miles N)

Ryedale Lodge hotel 01439 748 246 at Nunnington (20 miles W)

Worseley Arms Hotel 01653 628 234 at Hovingham (20 miles W)

Have fun
