Hi,

Can't remember if the HK arrival ATIS is a TTF. Does anyone have a reference that could clear up my memory loss?

Thanks

You will only find a TTF in Oz...the rest of the world uses NOSIG...

An ATIS is NOT a forecast. It is simply a report of actual conditions, and is not a legal "forecast"

A METAR is also a report of actual conditions, but by affixing trend (ie forecast) details such as TEMPO, BECMG, or NOSIG, it becomes a valid (and legal) forecast.

Thanks guys,

I appreciate the difference between the terms (posting after a red or two), but couldn't remember if HK affixed NOSIG on their ACARS ATIS, as Singapore does, (thus making WSSS's ATIS a valid 2 hour forecast).

Seems it doesn't.

Thanks
