i Phone issues

I have an apple iPhone 5s. My son has a HTC 1(M7).
He can text and call me fine from his phone and it shows his name from my contact list but I cant text or call him. It's as if he doesn't exist. I'm on the O2 network and he is on EE network.
Any (serious) suggestions to resolve this strange issue?
All other phones in family work fine.

Doesn't exactly sound like an iPhone issue. Have you tried dialling his number manually rather than from your contact list ? Is your iPhone software up to date ?

I think you will find he has inadvertently blocked you as a caller in his contact list.:8
