Hi Guys was wondering if anyone knew where I may be able to get some reasonably priced Cessna 206 or 210 experience? Im in Darwin NT, but im looking anywhere around North Queensland or Western Australia as well. I have a Commercial license and have 310 hours TT, 280 in a C172, and 30 hours in a Partenavia P62. Im looking to get 10 hours experience with a mixture of dual and solo time.

30 hours in a Partenavia would be equivalent to time in C200 series from an insurance company perspective. My first job required 50 hours on type, but because of my multi experience I was able to get a dispensation from the insurance company.:ok:

I generally found that the "10 hours 200 series time" was just a filter. You would usually do that much ICUS to start off with anyway.

If you know the CP or are "Johnny on the spot", the 10 hours 200 series time wasn't even mentioned as a must have.

Be careful some operators use that to "turn away" the dozens of people a week who knock on the door looking for that first job. Some get it and come back only to be told "oh you don't have any wet season experience". Sorry and again no job and your a few thousand dollars lighter. I wouldn't get it unless someone has given you at least more than 50/50 chance of a job if you go and do it.

I agree with pilotchute for someone with 300TT and 30 hours partenavia. Still a good idea with a bare CPL.
