Does anyone remember the history, the people and the aircraft of the short lived Janus Airways?

I remember my flight from Coventry to Beauvais. My mother was worried about the sound of air as we sat towards the rear or the aircraft on the port side.

Any input would be great, thanks.

Janus were owned by Solihull based Hards Travel who operated coach/air holidays to Paris (via Beauvais) from Lydd and Coventry during 1984. Besides the aircraft mentioned above they also used Herald G-BAVX and Viscount V708 G-ARGR. I believe that the Viscounts were pretty much time expired and were withdrawn by the end of the summer. The Heralds soldiered on and a cut down program was operated by them during 1985, but only from Lydd.

Thanks for that, it was G-ARIR I flew on. The other viscount if I remember correctly had corrosion problems, the herald at one time operated for Brymon.
