Three helicopter formation over Stanmore

Curious to know what was the occasion tonight was for a three helicopter formation over NW London tonight. Looked like two Eurocopter Panthers in a blue and white paint scheme followed closely by Met Police helicopter...

Any ideas?

Assuming the latter, there are 18 to choose from on the UK register, though the blue/white scheme sounds like they could well be two of the four aircraft operated by the SAS:

Many thanks for the info, almost certain they were the helicopters I saw. Would love to know what the reason for them flying in formation, at such a low altitude and why they were being escorted by aforementioned Met Police helo but ours is not to question why......

Probably someone didn't pay their TV licence and the demands weren't having the desired affect, so the heavy squad was sent in for a pre-Easter surprise ? Depending where you saw them, it was most likely a training exercise using MOD property as the venue.

LOL! Although the Met police helo was following the two Hereford Hooligan (allegedly!) a little way behind them....
