The Southwest pilot application window is open. Go to southwest.com/careers, click "Let's Go"and then search keyword "pilot". Be sure to apply there AND on Pilot Credentials.

for those of you that don't know, f/o seniority carries over to the left seat...so if you are waiting say...11-12 years for the left seat like cathay you de up over 210,000 a year...a bit more that a usa based first year captain...

Anyone who has a green card or US citizenship knows that captain pay at US airlines is based on total years with the company.

That's a sweeping statement!

Well, I'm a SWA FO with seven years at the company. Unless some explosive growth happens, I'm still years away from upgrade to Captain. If it's a Captain's seat you want, you might want to consider looking elsewhere. However, if you want good pay, work rules, and benefits, SWA is not a bad place to be.
