For info, Alan Terrell has died aged 85. Absolute gentleman, great aviator and rose to the heights in Qantas. Funeral is in Berrima.

My enduring memory of Alan Terrell is his appearance on Four Corners many years ago when engineers were leaving Qantas in droves. When asked why this was happening he looked straight down the barrel of the camera and said; "Because we don't pay them enough".

As one of Alan's grandchildren, I would like to thank the many people from the aviation industry who travelled large distances to pay their respects on the day. The family felt it was indeed the celebration he would have liked the day to have been because so many people were there to share their stories.
