Actually this is NOT the first view of it, the local press have got it wrong. The design was announced in September 2013 and detailed in this edition (http://bristowgroup.com/_assets/filer/2013/11/26/bristowworld-sar-specialedition-v5_1_1.pdf) of their in-house magazine Rotor World. This Bristow press release (http://bristowgroup.com/bristow-news/latest-news/2013/bristow-selects-balfour-beatty-build-new-uk-search/) later in September announced Balfour Beatty would build them. I guess it has only come to light locally now a planning application has gone in?

Is anyone else just seeing a computer generated hangar with a dispersal? Not sure what I expected when I clicked the link but still, not exactly ground breaking is it? (no pun intended!)
P.S
Nice border spade, could do with one of those myself.

It's going to be a lot better than the old Bristow facility we had at Paull
